Egale Canada, through a grant obtained from Canadian Heritage-Multiculturalism, is seeking an energetic, self-motivated candidate with community organizing experience to coordinate a series of community events focused on “Reducing Barriers to inclusion within the larger LGBT community for Edmonton’s Trans community.” Egale Canada is looking to hire for a part-time coordinator position beginning Tuesday, April 12th, 2005.
The events will be held in Edmonton, Alberta during Trans Awareness Week 2005, which is the first week of May. Through these events we hope to bring together trans folk, interested community members, service providers and activists for workshops, small group discussions, films, performances and social opportunities.

The Coordinator will work approximately 15-20 hrs per week from now through Trans Awareness Week ending May 8th, 2005 and follow with the submission of the final report.
