Egale donors and volunteers are the life-blood of our organization. Without generous people like yourself, there would be no national organization to promote equality and justice for LGBT people and their families. There are many ways you can support Egale:

Make a donation
We’re here to make Canada a better place for LGBT people and all Canadians. Whether the issues close to your heart are marriage equality, ending bullying and youth suicide, trans equality, fighting unjust laws, or supporting anti-violence initiatives, every dollar counts!

Become a monthly member
By donating on a monthly basis, you can give a small amount each month, but added up it makes a big difference!

Attend fundraising events
Egale hosts an annual Gala event in Toronto. Watch our home page for events in your area!

Purchase Egale merchandise
Order a copy of Every Class in Every School: The first national climate survey on homophobia, biphobia, and transphobia in Canadian schools.

Honour a solemn occasion
Egale accepts donations to honour life events. You can request that donations be made to Egale for weddings and funerals, or other important occasions.

The gift of a lifetime

Volunteer
Give the gift of your time by volunteering to help with Egale activities in your area of the country. We are always on the lookout for skilled individuals who can help with a wide variety of tasks.

Please note, Egale Canada cannot issue tax receipts because it is a not-for-profit organization, not a registered charity. Due to the advocacy nature of Egale's work, it is not eligible to register as a charity under current Canada Revenue Agency legislation.

Egale has a companion organization called Egale Canada Human Rights Trust (ECHRT). ECHRT is a registered charity and donations to ECHRT are eligible for tax receipts. The work done by ECHRT is limited to educational purposes and public awareness relating to LGBT issues. For instance, ECHRT's projects include the MyGSA.ca initiative as well as the Report Homophobic Violence, Period (RHVP) training program. A donation to ECHRT must be $20 or more in order to qualify for a tax receipt. If you would like to direct your donation to ECHRT and receive a tax receipt, please select this option in the donation form.

We encourage donors to support both organizations, because advocacy in the short-term is just as important as long-term public education.
